The Elephant

In the first part of the movement, the elephant, interpreted by the double bass, moves in time of waltz, accompanied by the piano.

In the second one, the author employs the composition of another musician,
the Dance of the sylphs by Berlioz: it is a very gracious and light music, which contrasts with the heaviness of the elephant.
